That one's cool as well. Ginge mentioned my brother's car seems to roll around a lot - good job he doesn't run a carbon front splitter at the mo, his car is really tipped over to left and down at the front in the last pic!
He has my old Tein springs on standard dampers, still handles well but looks a tad boaty!
Top snapping
Leading the way as usual
Or probably holding him up actually!
Nothing in the two cars, spent many laps bumper to bumper out there, great fun that's for sure
Shame about the death of my slicks, the mid Sunday onwards sessions saw me lapping roughly 3/4 pace with slicks on the front and C Drive road tyres on the back, which made things a handful. Especially when it then rained

Thats cool you managed to get all the pictures of the two evo's going head to head, I got loads of photos for the lads but none of the action between them sadly as I was in one or the other non stop till simon's expired its tyres and from then on they werent really close enough to capture much action so it was the one think I missed, and of course the most interesting thing to have pictures of for them.
Hi Rich,
Using 240/610/17 Yoko Advans, they seem to grip the same as R888s, but take just over 1 lap to warm up (not just under 1 lap like I found when I binned it). Literally ZERO grip when first cold which is where they differ vastly from R888s.
I've done 2.5 track days on them - would estimate about around 350 miles of hard track work, all seem to have plenty of depth, but the front left delaminated, probably due to over heating and I should have swapped them around a bit. Will put a pic up in a mo.
Naturally in the rain they didn't work much, but the C-Drive road tyres on the back had literally half the grip it seemed. It was fun and lethal in similar quantities! Really made things slow going on Sunday compared to Saturday when the car felt awesome

Love pics like this (and to be fair to Chip, he has got loads of ace pics of everything we did), action photos rock!
Always driving means I never really get to see what it all looks like, but after the slicks died I did watch one session with my brother out there and it was cool to watch.
Can we commision you for the next event?
Are you going to Combe this Sat?
Si
mart rs, the car was doing that consistantly on that corner, me and my mate were waiting for it every time, got quite a few of your car.
Simon, glad you like them, it was my first time shooting at a track and I really learnt alot (must thank the simon that came with me). Cant wait to go to another, think croft lends itself to decent pictures as you can get reasonably close to the action points. Would love to go to combe as I like that circuit but work says no. Ive uploaded every photo to my photobucket account :-photobucket
These are all straight out of the camera so the colours need playing with a touch as do the levels but theyre okay for previewing, if you pm the numbers you want I'll get the high resolution ones to you mate.
