today driving along in my van the battery light came on and is staying on ive checked the terminals there ok what could the problem be

 

alternator on its way out ?

 

alternator/alternator belt/fucked electrics

 

 

if it idle, does the battery light get brighter as you rev it?

 

just stays the same

alt belt or the alternator is no longer charging and the cars running off the bat

 

get the alternator checked.

 

If the belts not slipping then the alt is buggered, most likely just the regulator part, but a recon is not dear.

I had the battery light come on on my countax v twin mower that i bought the other week, had a glance through the manual and it says the battery light comes on when the battery is fully charged ,what the fook is that about stupid idea imo

 

it was the alternater so thats it fixed now

 

can i have a point for the correct answer

this happens on mine its a erst,got a spare alternator gonna change it....

 

my battery light stays on when the key is turned off?????????

but when i start the engine the battery light goes off any1 help

 

my tranny connect batt light used to come on after it was riven for about 200 yrds, ford said it was a broken wire inside!!!

i guess it wasnt broken before i drove it 200 yrds then it would come apart but reattatch itself for the next time i start it

 

kk thanks but just been out in it and the battery light is on while i drive the battery not goin flat as i i had lights on and radio on drove 40 miles
