Red face Another Stupid Question

Is There A Way To Tell Witch Cam Is In An Which Is Ex Or Are They The Same?? As Looking At Them I Carn't Tell Any Difference Between Them.

The inlet cam should have grooves machined into the bearing journals...exhaust cam doesnt.

As said inlet has scrolls on the bearing suraces, also inlet is LYD4 YN0011, exhaust is
LYD2 YN0011.

i have 4 cams as i have to heads to build one good one.

i have used the best 2, one with scrolls as the inlet and one witout ext but both num are lyd4

and on my 2 other cams the num are ldy1 and the other ldy5

Not a stupid question when you dont know the answer
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as i'm unsure too.
Reason being i bought a stage3 sapph and was unsure if a diferent camshaft was fitted or just the standard.
Going to replace my cam followers shortly so will have a look then.
2wd and 4x4 cam shafts are different aswell eh??

2wd and 4wd the same, just 2wd use a spacer at the front.
