Default Ford Racing Gauges....Discontinued??

Quick question really, does anyone know if Autometer (or is it Procomp?) still make them?

Have heard they stopped recently, only gonna get rarer etc?

Cheers

Yes, due to internal politics within good ol' Ford USA they have decided to discontinue the white Ford Racing range of instruments - and they wont let Autometer continue selling them either. Crazy I know!

Aren't these the gauges famous for being inaccurate?

Granted they look pretty but...

Well put it this way - they were made by Autometer, and in a recent group test in either Fast Ford or Performance Ford, Autometer boost gauges faired very well indeed against much more expensive gauges so I cant see on what grounds you base that statement!

and im sure in that test it wa sth gauge that was recommended to buy lol

autometer are good gauges, and ive had no problem with mine at all, all work prefectly aswell

carnt see the point on spending loads on defi etc just to look pretty when you start the car up

if autometer are good more drag cars in usa then there certainly good enough for my mine

though the autometer nexus range looks the bolox

I understand they have brought out a new range of black Ford gauges to replace the white ford Racing ones. These have the added benifit of being electrical for those that do not like the mechanical capillry method used by the discontinued white ones.

Well, when I asked about them, here on Passionford, I was told they were inaccurate, so I didn't buy any.

Now I read on Passionford that the opposite is true.

Such is life.

That's not surprising Marco - the SPA stuff i had in my Escort has to be the worse purchase I ever made! The stuff is crap!! It was forever going wrong and I have advised the new owner to get rid of them and replace with 2 or 3 x 52mm Stack gauges which not only wont break down but would go nicely with the stack dash!!

Or maybe it was just me that had unreliable SPA instruments!!
