get your hands dirty then Don't forget working on french cars is horrid, everything is back to front, inaccessable and made of the finest monkey metal or the most brittle plastic known to man, and all fasteners require special tools or are an odd size. ....

Also, does the saxo have the normal steel cradle that you have to drop to get the box out? Ł150 sounds pretty reasonable to me TBH.

if i was doing that job at work, we would charge about 3 hours, Ł40 an hour, clutch price may be about 50 quid, so Ł170 plus vat, if i was doing it ont he side, i would charge about Ł85 to fit and the same for the clutch

I would happily do it for that price and all............. best part of 200 quid for 5 hrs work !!!!!

The price quoted for doing the Saxo clutch aint too bad, it can be a shitty job at times and nobody works for fuck all these days !!

Owned several saxo they must be shit hot to do it in 2 hours. I have all the tools and a ramp and took me 4 hours to do a 1.1 tbh Ł190 for a clutch fitted aint that bad tbh.

The old 4spd fiesta's were fucking magic to do clutch's on, no need to take the shafts out and could swing the box down far enough to change the clutch ! Job done in an hour !!!

I would imagine they are allowing for 4hrs to do the job !

More of a realistic time IMHO.
