basically i am looking to buy some wheels that were on ebay but went unsold , i have agreed a price and the bloke is asking me to pay directly into his bank due to pay-pal problems
does this sound dodgy ?
can he obtain my bank details if i send him a payment through my on-line banking ?

if you have an email from him stating his name and address and a home phone number along with goods description, as you also have his bank account details you have all the information required to proceed to the small claims court, specially if he is not able to provide a shipping number.

not this old chesnut again
again, what about if you pay him by cheque? it has your account and sort code on it. so what, what's he going to do with them that you can't do with the same information that you have from him?
