i was told they were the same,but if you go over 200 you need to change it to a cossy one,i think

No it isn't. The RST pump can deliver more flow then a XR3i pump.

Cosworth external pump is even a better option though.......

im on 200bhp at wheels, wud a xr3i cope temporaily?
im intested in the pump 4 sale, is it in good condition cheers

It will make the car drive for sure. Just be carefull that it doesn't run lean when driving hard! (or else it could turn out to be an expensive fuel pump. )

pumps are 100% the same,check the part number!tho they do need up rating for 200 bhp like said above!

why do you need to upgrade them for over 200bhp ?

Ive never upgraded my XR3i fuel pump and thats still delivering the goods at over 200bhp

Where did you check the part numbers? For replacement they give the same number (and pump) but originally fitted they were different. At least the original Dutch ones are.

Could be that the XR3i with KE Jetronic also used the RST pump but on my K Jetronic XR3i there was definately an other (slightly less powerfull) pump.

ive been using an xr3i pump on mine for the last eight years running 206 bhp and many rolling road setups with no problems with fuel delivery at all

yes theyre the same and its advised to upgrade the fuel pump it aint a necessity dependant on the boost levels your running.i personally wud run a cossy pump

ok just an update, i fitted an afr guage the other day and my car really badly leans out at 5000 rpm adjusted the fuel and made no difference at all so this statement i made is compleate nonsence, ooopps sorry lads
