Default Car will not start!!

I started my series 1 this morning and it started. I let it warm up. just when i moved of the car cut out i started the car again and nothing. I have checked my fuel pump, spark plugs, Leads. there simply no spark, although the car wants to start. Im confused getting a real headache. Does anyone know what the prob could be?

it could be the coil breaking down or check the wires on it thats all i can think of

Check for a pulsed earth to the coil negative when cranking and +12v to the coil positive terminal with ignition on.

If you are missing the pulsed earth (geen wire) i would think the wire has broken down by the radiator/intercooler or the hall sensor in the dizzy has gone faulty. Try giving the hall sensor a wiggle while someone else is cranking the engine.
