Default finding car info from the reg

one of our drivers has just been punted up the arse by another car, but the car had no numberplates

not a lot of damage but the driver has given our guy a name and an address and a reg number

so how do i find out, really quickly and for free, if the reg number that i've got coresponds to the car that hit our bloke?

no number plates at all? no reg from the tax disc to confirm? go to the police and tell them the circumstances and get them to check it out . might not need any follow up from them but just for peace of mind.

it was in the middle of the hanger lane gyratory so stopping get get details would have meant a traffic jam for everyone else for about the next 4 hours

but it checks out so no sweat, i'll send ginge the reg to check on monday as i've got to fill some forms in about it

apparently her car was a bit of a wreck and she was in hysterics, so my driver, being chivalrous and whatnot left her to get on with it
