I had ahmed for three weeks on a my cossie(sapph), then put on my AVO coilovers, no bloody competition, ahmed are good/excellent but they are NOT that good compared with coilovers, but obviously budget comes into it.

Neil, as you said - he now does the black art coilovers - which is what ive got on mine.
they are made and designed by the guy that used to make the Leda coilovers to mikes spec, exactly the same but with high speed valving - so in some ways they are a slightly improved version of the Leda's - and cost about £1200.
definatly get a 6 degree beam, as your probably aware theres several options, Danny does different levels of beam ranging from £850 ish up to £1400 ish
or theres the Ahmed rear beam which is £1000.
all will be a great improvement over the standard setup, but will depend on your budget and how far you want to go with it all.
adjustable front TCA's would help the situation aswell.

Andy i run GAZ coilover and they were a improvement over my old Koni set up, i got them from cosymad on here , he specs them with different spring rates to nomal. Im also running adjustable TCA, thinking about compression struts and have an adjustable back beam ready to go on soon.

hi mate i deff would go for the rear beam and a set of coilovers brill set up. i have a set of avo coilovers made to the old leda spec sorted through mike r with 1000 miles on them i no longer need cus of change of suspension spec if ur interested pm me for my mobile number.
Steven, id guess that yours are the Avo Monotubes then!?
they are also very good and definatly worth the money.
Andy, could be a bargain there for you to grab!!
Neil, Chris changes the specs of the rear springs as they are far to harsh for road use the way Gaz spec them. id guess that instead of the 325F and 225R, your probably running arond 325F and 170R.
i had those on my old setup and found it faultless on track use with 225R but for road use i changed my rears to 190, but that was my car fully stripped aswell.

Neil - i must ask mate, why are you thinking of going for compression struts?
are you fitting any form of anti rollbar in its place to compensate, or going for the GRP a style which has its own crossmember and then drop links onto the TCA's?
personally i wouldnt sacrifice my Anti Rollbar for compression struts!

mine are in good condition infact the rears havent been used since they got rebuilt, the springs could do with a refurb or spray but please remember i am a bufty lol and unless it 100% mint i dont call things very good condition
Can you tell me where you bought them from and what numbers were stamped on the "pigtails"?
Andy,
I missed this earlier
Seriously, the 6° rear end transforms the handling. In fact I would have suggested that this is more important than the fitting of coilovers (the handling would have been transformed with this and just some good quality dampers and springs). I did a big write up on suspension for Fast Ford explaining why - perhaps you have this somewhere and can have a read?
Be careful about buying the base Adrenaline version, as this is not adjustable for toe and has caught a few out who have expected it to be. The £1k Ahmed one is adjustable for both toe and camber.
they are hard but the main problem is if you use the tarmac spec springs on the rear as they make the car bounce about i have got gravel spec on the rear, or you could put what ever spec springs on the front and back
