are these comment to go?????????????????????????????
mine are fuck off havin a bit, well a big bit of a race from the taffic lights
can you get polly 1's and are they better?

i know you can get solids for the mk3 (wouldnt go solid anyway) unsure about the mk4 escort

think burtons do them for the s2 for under 50 quid for the h/duty ones

just replaced both gearbox mounts on my s2 and engine mount cost me Ł95 for all three from fords...

I think deflex do some solid polyureathane gearbox mounts at a good price.

can only comment off my own experience (and im on different mounts to you s2 boys) had mine in for years with a 300bhp engine

was mint

only reason why im not using them again this time is that i have gone all bufty and these old ones are dirty

you could buy them from a diesel! The rubber is much harder and can have much more force!

i made my own heady duty gearbox-mounts, will post some pictures if anyone is interested?

first off, i took the 2 original mounts, chopped off all the "flanges" and threads around the mount, so that i had just a square rubber thing with 2 metal plates on. then i drilled a 10mm hole through the mount.

took a third mount and did the same with this, and cut the mount in half. then i mounted the two orginal mounts on the car, took the third mount and sat it unterneath the beam holding the box, and put a long m10 screw with a locking nut through the whole lot tightened it on hand-feel momentum.

bullet proof and fail-safe for almost nothing

Had Deflex mounts on mine. Took them off coz i had loads of vibrations through the car.. Took them off and put diesel mounts on..
