Default series 2 problem :(

i have a series 2 which is holding back bigtime
ive changed

plugs and leads
dizzy cap and rotar arm
coil
and done a compression tst on it my results were

150psi
139psi
141psi
133psi

and it seems to run better wen i use a hotter plug

any ideas any1 cheers

According to the information i have here compression for a 1600 cvh rst should be 12-14 bar.The figures you have given suggest that you have

1.) 10 bar
2.) 9.4 bar
3.) 9.5 bar
4.) 9 bar

These seem to be a bit low to me but i will be corrected if im wrong.

Id agree they seem low to me too. it may be a low comp engine?

no. this pressures which he measured (9 bar, 10 bar) is cillinder pressure and dont have nothing with engine compression (8,3:1 for RST). and I think he have just average pressure, not so bad IMHO

Yeah those pressures are about average for a comp test, very similair to my last engine which was perfectly healthy.
