Too many polybushes a bad thing?

As title, can you negatively affect a cars handling by making it too stiff as a result of polybushing everything?
I am in the impression that if you stiffen up the front of a FWD car it will induce understeer, so you really want to polybush the rear to indice the car to oversteer. Obviously its dependant on the car and many other variables , but am I on the right lines?

For example, I know of a Fiesta that has everything "upgraded", polybushes all over, strut braces, big wheels, new suspension etc and not only is it bumpy as fuck but its skittish every where and oversteers like a dog in the wet. My old Mondeo which was standard handled better
It needs careful thought to spec a decent handling everyday road car.....totally different to track imo.
My fiesta was a mix of standard new bushes, frp bushes and a couple of poly ones with lower strut ( front ) and -15mm custom wound eibach springs on standard new inserts. Standard sized wheels with goodyear eagles and a few other little secrets.
Looks a shit spec on paper but was totally ace on b roads and out in the country......would have been well out of its depth on track but was such a fun, surefooted little car

In my opinion all the bushings shuld be as stiff as possible - look at Evos they have half of the suspension joints on ball-joints, the dampers and springs should be adjusted to how bumpy the road/track is and too hight spring rates/valving are usually the reason for nasty handling on bumpy roads. Suspension bushings are about precision and communicativeness of the chassis. It's strut's role to absorb impacts from the road.
too big wheels can be a factor too, too much unsprung mass.
