What oil to use for running in a CVH turbo?
Been told different things by different people. Some reckon just the normal stuff I use, which would be Castrol RS.
Others say a cheap 20w 50 mineral based oil.
Shine some light please, what have others used?

What does Ford recommend you use as the normal oil? One that you use after running in.

You'll get an extra 5bhp if you run it on vegetable oil. Asda's own brand gives good start up in the winter

You can use a mineral oil of say 10w-40 or 15w-50.
That will do just fine.
Cheers
