Hi,
I drive a 1990 Fiesta RS Turbo running a 1900 cvh tall block engine capable of producing in the region of 200bhp.
I seem to munch gearboxes annually, have no idea how or why as I drive probably 4k a year and drive like an old women 80% of the time.
Has anyone had any similar experiences??
Anyway, my current box is dying slowly.... any suggestions?

high boost normaly kills them, usually LSD boxes are usless and blow easy u tried a diesel box

 

I don't run particularly high boost

I had thought about using the Escort box with LSD or as you say source a diesel one. Whats your view on using a 1.1 box? A mate of mine has one spare

 

if your using second hand box's then they wont take much to break them...if not and your still killing them then use every box you can get your hands on...
