i think anything after september 1992 requires a CAT,

but gladly tell me im wrong if i am.

how does everybody get them through with full stainless.is it best to look for a very understanding and helpfull test station

NO CAR OF ANY MAKE OR AGE IS REQUIRED BY MOT OR LAW TO HAVE A CAT.
The problem is the emissions were tightened so much after the "cat" date that most will NOT pass without one, but if it does all is LEGAL, to use car etc.
LPG cossies/cars/4x4's for example do not need cats.

if you can proove that a car registered after august 1994 has an engine that was registed prior to aug 1992, then the oldest part (ie the engine) is the part that determines what emmisions test it has to pass.... ie, non cat


now where is that reciept for that 2wd saph engine.....

tabetha u are a very inteligent guy by the sounds ov it. u always have a good efficient answer we shoud have an ask tabetha room lol iv seen them on other forums one i used to go on it had a n ask redhand he was a realy helpfull guy thanks tony
