Default Cosworth Oil Pressure

Hi,

What pressure does the standard oil pressure switch turn the light on / off at ?

What’s a typical cosi oil pressure at hot idle ?

I am looking at the oil plumbing / gauges for the Dax build and was wondering what was a safe level for setting them at.

Cheers,

WD

7psi if my memory serves me right is what the pressure switch activates (ie, turns the light on/off) at

My old cossie hot idle I got 20-30psi depending on oil type and hot 3000rpm I got 60psi-70psi depending on what oil

Anymore input ?

Wondering if I should get a 25 psi switch or if that would be a bit much for the nerves if it comes on after a good thrash ...

Cheers,

WD

Mine generally idles around 20 - 25 when hot so 25psi switch might be a bit too high.
