get it scanned mate will show you the problem.

happened to me fairly recently after I bought my Ford Focus. Turns out it was just the lambda sensor a bit stuffed. changed that and all sweet.

My engine cover isnt on underneath the car as it broke as my car is too damn low and I have an ST170 manifold and flexi on it anyway.

Have a look where the post cat lambda sensor is. It couldnt be in a more ridiculous place even if they tried. Its the first thing that gets hit if the car bottoms out. Brilliant piece of genious whoever thought to put it there

Car,s booked in for tommorow for a diognostic test
I,m beggining to wonder if it,s maybe electrical related in some way
When i picked the car up yesterday i brimmed it with fuel
now i,ve done just over 50mile and the gauge is still reading max
After hearing that ST,s are a bit thirsty i,d of expected the gauge to creep down a little bit at least?

No thats fine mate and also depends on your driving style. You will find when you restart the car after leaving it for a while it will have dropped down

dont worry about the O2 sensor mate. Its minor. Just change it and all will be well. Could have been anything as it doesnt take much to duff them up. Coudl have been running lean for a little bit or too rich or something couldve hit it whilst you were driving. Honestly look at where it is and you will understand how stupid a place its in because of the way its facing.

thats what happens mate. that happened to mine. will come back on in about 2 weeks or so. whats happening is the O2 sensor is working, but at some point it will mess up and the ecu will automatically revert back to it original pre-installed fuelling and will not used closed loop so willl throw the fault up that the lambda (O2) sensor has a low voltage/ unresponsive/slow output or something along those lines.

no biggie at all mate.
