you cannot put different size tyres on front to back,it will fook the vc in the box in no time at all!!

surely not with just 10mm width difference.?difference in rolling diameter would be very very minimal,if any at all?

if so,not the end of the world, ill just change them-its done no miles since being fitted.

205/40x17 = wheel circumference of 1872mm
215/40x17 = 1896mm

I would still change them for equal all round, as someone will just assume that the VC will be fucked.

Also, the original tyre profile with the 17s from the factory with this size wheels is a 45, but normally a 205...

yep,it will fook it very quickly,as quick as 2 miles if the vc is weak, its not the width difference, its the rolling radius thats different, your rear tyres are higher.as mikes shown the difference, front wheels are turning faster than the rears, that pressure has to break something on the transmittion,on subarus it does the vc in no time.
