NO SPARK
Hello everybody.
Can anyone please help? Im having trouble with my series 1
Everything was all fine until one morning i got in it and no start
So first things first check for fuel: yep got that so check for spark: Nope no spark so off to ford garage and replace: coil, plugs, leads, dizzy cap, and arm. still no spark
. any ideas? this is driving me nuts.

The electronic control for the ignition system. The module receives a signal from a magnetic pickup or Hall effect sensor in the distributor. The module uses this signal to open and close the ground circuit to the ignition coil to fire the spark plugs. The ignition module itself may be located inside the distributor (GM and some imports), on the distributor housing (some Ford applications) or in the engine compartment. Some modules also control timing advance and retard. If a module goes bad, it usually goes completely dead. The engine won't run because there's no trigger voltage to the ignition coil.

Thanks for your help mate. I've been playing with this for about a week now with no joy so i think the time has finally come to pull the ke jetronic junk out and replace it with efi

i dont no if it is the same on a S1 but on the side of the dizzy the is a little box which is an ignition amplifier, this went on my 1.6 cvh fiesta. it might be worth looking into that
