Default F**K*N Benitez again !

Just when our form was picking up and things were looking better he comes out with this crap;

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...icle900748.ece

My patience is wearing thin with him. Disgusting behaviour if true.

I dont have kids or a wife but if i did they would come first over anything as it would for anyone else.

I'm gonna give him benefit of the doubt.

For chrissakes sake.... I can't believe anybody reading an article in that scummy lying rag the S*n and taking it as gospel. They always twist things hugely out of proportion especially if it concerns Liverpool.
Rafa Benitez has confirmed Xabi Alonso will play no part in the club's UEFA Champions League clash against Internazionale on Tuesday.

Liverpool head out to Milan with a 2-0 lead but in the knowledge they will have to make do without the services of Xabi Alonso.

The influential Spanish schemer's girlfriend has gone into labour, with Benitez having accepted family affairs take priority over football.

"Xabi wanted to stay behind. He had said he would come if things were okay, but we couldn't wait, wait, wait, and I now have to use my squad."
Where does that imply he is on his way out, like the scum rag are implying?

Yes, a simple lesson is ;

Do not believe anything written in the sun.

From a selfish point of view though, it'd be good that Rafa would get a little peeved.....any successful manager would want his best players available for every game!

Blah Blah Blah Blah it's more ridiculous English paper talk. Its more than likely that Rafa and Alonso are on fine terms... Rafa just didnt want a player in the squad whose mind wasn't 100% focused on the job. To be fair, if his mind isn't 100% on the job then he shouldn't be in the squad.

For most players family comes first, if it was anyone else nearly the same thing would be happening. I personally don't think anyone has done anything drastically wrong in this, it appears that Xabi wanted to come out if the nipper came in time, fair enough, Rafa just thought it was too much of a risk in his preparations, again, fair enough. The media are just making something out of nothing again IMO

Why does he need to go?

do you honestly think another manager could do a better job with the same squad? i don't.

So you honestly believe that we dont have a squad capeable of competing for the league then. well thats funny, because i remember at the start of the season all the liverpool fans on here thinking we stood a good chance this season, myself included, we were all very optamistic, untill he started his rotation bullshit again. he's had 4 years, £150+ million, and were no better now than when he came, we were the 4th best team in the league when he came, and we still are the 4th best team in the league now, so why not give him another £50 million and another year, and who knows, by this time next year, we might even be the 3rd best team in the league. he needs to go, and the yanks need to go.

It's his squad though! If the squad isn't good enough then who's responsible?!

Since Mascherano came he hasn't had a solid place in midfield like he has the past few years....

Plus he's been injuired half the season which doesn't help.....

At the start of the season i had my blinkers on....call it blind faith or whatever, our squad is defo the strongest it's been for years, but it's NOT strong enough!!

compare our team to that of Manure, Chelski and Arse, aside from the so called star names, we have weaknesses where they have strength.

We will get stronger, but until we spend the money they do (apart from Arsenal who have been very shrewd) we will keep finding it difficult.

In the summer a big deal was made of us spending £20+million on Torres, but United also spent a fortune bringing in Hargreaves, Nani, Anderson and Tevez....they didn't have to sell anyone to finance the spending, we sold on Luis Garcia and Craig Bellamy to help fund Torres.

Benitez has been guilty of some bad buys, but when his budget was limited he could only justify buying 3 or 4 players for £6-£7 million each instead of one for £20million....if a big money signing fails to adapt at Liverpool, we'd be screwed.....look at Chelski, Shevchenko cost £30million and has been a big flop, yet they had Drogba/Kalou/Anelka etc as back ups..and they'll continue to spend if needed.

I honestly think he's the right man!

The answer you will get mate will be, " he hasnt had the same budget as united and chelsea, so he has to do the best with what he's had ". liverpool fans constantly make excuses for him, well david moyes hasnt spent £150 million, and everton have the same points we do, they have improved with a budget a hell of a lot less than ours, so why havnt we improved ?. we were 4th with the old squad, smicer, baros, traore, cheyrou etc, he spends a fortune, and were still in the same position, thats why for the life of me, i cant understand why liverpool fans seem to accept it, and are willing for him to stay and waste more time/money.

Everton may be on the same points as us, but did you see how they were outplayed by Fiorentina the other night, that one game alone shows they are not as good as us...not even close, they have ground out results this season ( they have also had some very impressive wins too btw ).

Don't forget we have only lost 3 games this year...the rest has been draws against teams we'd normally beat....at least 3 of these i'd blame on the manager, but the other were just lack of concentration by the players (the 2-2 draw with Villa springs to mind!! )

As a manager he has to look further than the next game, and when you are playing Birmingham City you'd expect any team he put out to win....that didn't happen though and we came away with a draw. Would you play your strongest team every single week and still expect to be strong at the tail end of the season?

How is he the best manager if there has been no improvement at all since the last manager ?. houllier won 4 major trophys and got us to 2nd in the premiership in his 5 years in charge, rafa has never got us above 3rd and has won 2 major trophys in 4 years, so if we give him another year, he gets us to 2nd and wins another 2 trophys, he will have the same success record as houllier. thats not my opinion mate, thats fact.

Jaime redknapp said it best a few weeks ago, " liverpool will never win the premiership under benitez ".

How can you talk about united and arsenals form, there fighting for the title, where fighting for 4th, we cant be compared to them, we have to be compared to everton, man city, spurs and the like, because thats the reality of the situation.

I'm sorry but if you think we were a better side under Houllier then you are just crazy!!
he made some shocking transfers and was absolutely clueless at times!

The 2001 season was brilliant, we won lots....but it has to be said we were fortunate. ( League Cup on pens against Birmingham, Uefa Cup Final on a golden goal against Alaves, FA Cup final after being outplayed by Arsenal( Owen scoring two goals out of nothing )...we certainly had our luck with us that year.

You won't change your mind about Benitez, just like i won't change mine....but if he does get the boot then i fear for us, there is no other TOP manager out there capable of managing us IMO (that's available)

Im crazy for stating facts, we won more under houllier fact, and were closer to winning the league fact, regardless of luck, results are whats important, not how we played, id rather we won 1-0 every week and played badly, than played well and drew or lost, im not asking for much, just to see £150 millions worth of improvement. you said houllier made some shocking transfers ?, what would you call garcia, josemi, morientes, zenden, nunez, kromkamp, gonzalez palleta etc money well spent ?. in all honesty, wether benitez or houllier, we have been a mile away for years, with the occasional bit of ' hope '. they have both wasted a lot of money, but houllier had more to show for it.

Benitez has given us continued qualification for the Champions League, that competition alone gives us sooo much income....not just from UEFA but from the people abraod who want to watch us play against the top teams in Europe.

as for dodgy transfers, i can name just as many of houlliers ( Diouf,Diao,Cheyrou,Diomede etc etc)

We may have finished second one season, but from memory we weren't even close to winning the league.

Regardless of all that, the question remains who will replace him?

well seeing as the most successfull premiership manager ever is british, maybe we need to stop looking abroad and give someone like martin oneill a chance, he has been a success at what ever level he has managed, and teams are always a lot better when he leaves than when he arrived. i actually wanted him when they got rid of houllier. and people talking about a lack of top managers, whats mourinho, average ? premiership winner, fa cup winner, league cup winner, champions league winner.

We know that.
But i'll be shocked if we don't score a goal over there, especially with the makeshift defence they are forced to go with....if we get one goal they need 4, which does sound a tall order for them.

BUT you never know lol.

I'd hate to play United in the CL....too much at stake!!

Yet again his champions league ' safety net ' comes into play . by the way, in 05, we won the cl with the houllier rejects he was left with, when we played the cl final in 07 with his team, we lost. and ive said it before, and ill say it again, i dont care about the champions league if were not competing for our own league, how can you be the best team in europe if your only the 4th best team in your own league, at least in 99 when united won the cl, they were the best team in england aswell.

Im not usually one to run my mouth, and im not trying to upset or piss anyone off, but when it comes to liverpool, i cant stop myself. i honestly believe everything ive posted is close to the truth, and a lot is based on fact not my opinion, we will just have to agree to disagree fella.

Liverpool are in my blood, and have been most my life, and as can be seen by this very embarrasing picture

Ive been a liverpool fan since jaws was a goldfish
