Thumbs up saff cos fuel pump

Hi guys, fitted a new uprated fuel pump on my 4x4 saff and it came with an adapter for the pipe from the tank, Prob i have is that it keeps leaking slightly.
Tried a new clip on it but its still weeping a bit, the adapter is a bit smaller than the orig one on old pump.
But i also had to cut the pipe length down a bit so the pump sat in the carrier right.
Anyone had similar probs or am i just unlucky, gunna try new pipe this w end should be fun as av half a tank of petrol lol.
Cheers steve.

Easy to block the tank off, I just use a piece of pipe and stuff a marker pen in the other end, I don't even use clips to hold pen or pipe on either, they never come off.

Did you fit a copper washer between the adaptor and pump?

if not this is your problem

also the old pipe might of lost some of it's elasticity due to old age and then stretched when you pulled old fitting out plus it could of left stretch marks on the inside which the fuel is using to sip through

Yeah fitted new copper washer between pump and adapter, Cut about an inch off old pipe to get pump in rite position as adapter stuck out further from pump.
Bought new pipe yesterday and when i got home to change it, it seems to have sealed itself lol, so hope thats it.
Thanks for the replys, regards steve
