cant ''find the love'' for the RS....
Fook knows why. Was wanting to get back into rs's...bought the s2. Ive done loads of little jobs to it, fitted the GRS and i got some winter plans for it....but now im thinking of selling it.....hell even P/X ing if needs be for a newer car. This bumpy, stiff steering etc etc just isnt floating my boat like it used to
You need to ditch the gRS and everything involved with fitting it, as it will then be a REAL RS....
I shall send you the standard stuff off mine if you send it down to me.
I won't even charge you

It dont rattle, squeek or anything. Its a minter and i have a good one. Just seem to have lost intrest altogether. If i had 12k i wouldnt even buy a escos and thats my fave car,

You sound like you're in the same boat as I was/am Lee. I totally lost interest in the cars and the scene. Although I have been on here a bit over the last few days because, even though it's a laugh and a half to drive, there's really bugger all you can do to a VX220. I've even been thinking of a Focus RS next year, but I'd need to modify it and make it a bit unique, because I think they look bloody boring in standard guise when you compare them to the Escort Cossie. Get one of those GGR vented bonnets, a big rear roof spoiler, twin headlight conversion and some different rims on though and maybe we'll be on more of a winner. I don't know, I keep changing my mind to be honest, I wonder whether the RS scene has had it's best days now. When I was in my early 20s everyone wanted them but it's not really the same now.

Exactly the same reason I sold mine Lee
Realised I wasn't as "in love" with it as I thought I would be, then realised I barely drove it wasn't bothered whether I had one or not. So decided to sell it as it was costing me money every month to sit there and do fuck all
Ahhh the rattles and the bumps the smell and the MW only crackly radio and all the other uncomfortable things about my RS i what i love about getting in it and driving it , it makes driving a much more rewarding experiance after driving a modern car with all its creature comforts.
love it and cant wait to get behind the steering wheel again

lee its because its your dailey runner your loseing interest al my old work cars ect even my s2 as was a dailey runner got batterd you just lose all rispect for it now ive got the next 1 and its been garaged a year i have no worries running costs tax insurance ect then i,ll mod it to fook and just run it in summer unless ya do this i dont think you can fully apreciate it, a dailey driver should be as comfy as possible and economical your s2 is everything but get a deisel and garage it
I had exactly the same thing with my Fiesta RS Turbo. After a year of owning it I realised I had even preffered my Fiesta 1.6s for some reason.
I sold it and got the GTI-R which enjoy owning much more and have no regrets about buying

I think every body feels the same at some point. But i only use mine at weekends as i have a vito van in the week. Plus after driving the Vito all week the rs seems so quick and fun to drive.
