Default in two minds about this...

been offered this impreza at what i would say is cheap 1k

front bumper is bust, brakes are all in need of attention,i'm told the engine has to come out to do a minor repair(oil and water leak i'm told but dont have all the details)but is in good working order i'm told.
no mot or tax,he wants it to go to someone who will mot it so he can have his p plate off it(he's a mate of a mate and just cant be arsed doing it as he has another car lined up).

i know very little about subys but it has 18"wheels,carbon bonnet, front mount and stainless exhaust, dyno print out saying 330bhp.

unsure of the year at the moment.

now here is my dilema,i dont realy want the hassle of a turbo'd track car or roadcar at the moment(would love to but cant be bothered throwing money at cars just now).
how much would something like this go for if i was to buy then sell(enough money in it to make it worth while buying?)

2 reason's why i wouldnt,

1,End of the day it's a scooby and the're everyfuckingwhere. So by the time you've got it sorted and mot'd you could probably buy one done for the money it will stand you at.

2,it's a scooby

A grand... buy it. When people say 'minor repair' it usually means close to engine rebuild It's alot of a car for a bag of sand though.

Buy it. Scoobies are a bit of a pain to do simple stuff, but conversley, doing bigger stuff, removing bigger things like engines, rads, boxes, etc etc, are suprisingly easy.

Bits are suprisingly cheap too as they so common, lots of spares etc from folk breaking them on Scoobynet etc.

Fun cars too

I'd say it's a version 1 car, the aerial is on the front pillar so it's a 93 - 95.

The date of first registration will be the date it was registered at import.

Looks ok for a grand (unless they are spinning you bollox about the engine)

dovboy im from just south of glasgow and am a full time car trader...

we regularly pick up scoobs (ps. i hate em) in good condition not needing work for Ł2k and that doesnt look particularly nice even if you fixed the faults.

I dont think thats worth it really.... it isnt a dear car but for the hassle you're going to have working on it and sourcing parts i wouldnt bother... just get yourself to some auctions.
