we regularly pick up scoobs (ps. i hate em) in good condition not needing work for £2k and that doesnt look particularly nice even if you fixed the faults.

I dont think thats worth it really.... it isnt a dear car but for the hassle you're going to have working on it and sourcing parts i wouldnt bother... just get yourself to some auctions.
