Right if you seen my post further down the page i thought my turbo was gone as i was out in the car this morning and it started to smoke mainley at tickover and cleaed when driving.....but as i had the kids in i did not put me foot down......

So i just been out and checked the turbo and there is no play at all and no oil in the pipes.....totaly dry..

So i went to give it a bit death to see if the smoke cleared and as soon as the car comes on boost it just loses all power but runs mint off boost and at tick over.....but the car boosts normaly as it should but just no go just all noise......if you know what i mean....

now i thinking that it is not getting the fuel that it needs....

Don't know mate but you need to put a lock on your photobucket account!

 

You also have no fuel and your ABS light is on to add to your woes

Put some fue in, any different?

Have you checked the usual CPS etc?

u need to drive my car.................it picks up better than urs......honest on a t38

 

fuel never bothers it,....can run it right down and it normaly goes ok still and the abs sensor is the drivers front....just carnt be arsed to do it yet,,,,

pete that was in 3rd gear......and it does normaly pick up better but i just getting a load of noise and no go at all......

 

not checked the cps as there is no miss just when it comes on boost the boost gauge goes up but the car just still drives like it got no boost if ya know what i mean

 

any cracks in the downpipe or exhaust housing?

na none.....whats the best way of checking the flow rate from the pump....im thinking pump or blocked filter......cause its always started the first turn of the key and a couple of times this week ive had to crank it for 2-3 seconds as if it had no fuel......

Lawnsy mate, have you checked voltages to the pump incase the wiring is breaking down or poor connection.?

sounds like a map sensor prob to me, or the ECU water temp sensor. What colour is the smoke?

 

I agree it looks like map sensor sort of thing but have you checked your intercooler and boost pipes for leaks/splits?

Phase sensor changed, I think he did it today anyway. Could be set wrong??? MAP sensor is another of the things we suspect too. Hmmmmm. Anyone local got one we could rob for half an hour??????

 

ian ive got a spare 3 bar kicking about if he wants to pop down and try it
but tbh if it was map sensor it would cough and splutter on tick over etc well mine did when last mp sensor fooked up

what pins on the ecu?

what readings should i get?

i need my power back.....

 

Mine was similar when the pipe popped off the map sensor, also check for splits and cracks on said pipe m8.

Yip checked it mate it was my first thought that i may of blow the pipe off eather the dump valve, fuel pressure, or map sensor but they all seem ok...

 

Seems almost like surge??

 

Check the timing again!

Need to get the bottom pulley off and check the woodruff key mate.
