Default desireable handling traits

I have always taken pleasure in driving cars with a good suspension setup where you have to use all of the power all of the time, I find it rewarding and spend quite abit of time fiddling with geometry and tyre pressures and stuff.

Conversely, chips solution to a car with imperfect handling is another couple of hundred horepower to keep things entertaining, he seems to enjoy having a car that constantly tries to kill him and sees it as a challenge.

Which do you prefer, hitting that apex perfectly and feeling like part of the car, or getting home still alive and full of adrenaline?

I like a car that handles good, but at the same time i need a car to have, if i want it, SO much power it is dangerous/frightening.

Reason being is they spend most their lives in my hands on the streets, so driving at warp speeds round corners is never gonna be safe regardless, and i got a REAL (seriously even in my mondeo runaround i hate it when other car just fucks off in to the distance and i cant keep up ) problem with any car being faster than me too, so need to be able to kick everythings ass if it has a go.

Im the same, went from an xe corsa to a 1.8 cav and now overtaking is a strain and everything without exception i faster

I find myself limiting myself to sub 80bhp up a b road and seeing how fast i can go with that cap on it. Ultimately i found myself working harder and driving better with less power

For now, until I can afford something proper, I am from the school of thought that driving a car for me is more about how it makes me feel than how fast I am actually getting from A to B.

So, my 350bhp Escort still gives me horns when I drive it. Regardless of the fact that its a shonky Escort, it does go like fuck. Remember I do get to drive some fruity motors too.

The closest I have been to how mine feels is Apex's old S13 (500bhp) and of course Gary's Evo (700bhp), regardless of whether or not they are better cars.

500bhp RB26 in a GTR certainly doesn't make me tick.

I learnt alot from driving FWD round bends from our little 80bhp Clio. I used to love pushing that harder and harder. Far harder than I had ever pushed the RST. I just need the RST on the road long enough to try those techniques out on that!!

2 extremes were my westie with did not have tons of power but was mega setup imo and my cossie with had a bit of poke but was not mega setup. Loved them both to bits and still can not choose between them although completely different.

The only place I think I used to drive the corsa properly was a road Id learned in slower cars and can imagine in my head from start to finish without error. everywhere else its too easy to come off the edge by a margin and make it up with power on the straights! still got bored of it tho!
