I've heard i couple of things about radient red saffs i thought they made 7 or 8 but someone else tells me it was 100, i was wondering whether or not anyone knows more about them, how many made, year, 2wd or 4wd etc

Ive only ever seen about 3 red ones at shows. I can remember the was a L reg one in fast ford mag for sale a few years ago.

 

there are a couple of people on here with red ones. i think they look the tits.

You'll get LOADS of answers to your Q from people who think they know

they were made in both 2wd and 4x4 but more in 4x4. I think the total figure was more like 15-20 and nowhere near 100.

Radient red info is as follwows: 7 2wd were made for special order, then in 1993 a production of 20 were planned all sold through 2 dealers, however only 14 were ever produced. All 14 4wd come as last production model so have full colour rear spoiler, leather, air con etc. Most are L plates too, but a few are late K plates. My dad bought one from new, registered 2/2/1994, I bought it of him in 2002, then sold it with 30k on clock last year for 9k, to a bloke living in guernsey, who bought it off here. I have spent probably days and days searching for all this detail, so its probably as close as info you will get, but please understand its only what I have found due to my passion of the rarest colour saf, radient red................. Thats off course if your not including the one factory colour mallard green produced.

LAMBCHOP how did the fire start mate. It looks a right mess. I think they look very different it red its a wierd colour for a cossie.

soooo, anyone know if all the 2wd radiant red cars came from the factory with a 4x4 vented bonnet?

to make matetrs worse i bought the flint on ein my sig 2.5yrs later and it went on fire 2 days after buying it luckily the old owner left a fire extinguisher in the back window so i managed to put it out!

LAMBCHOP what are you doing to your car now. I havent really done much to mine apart from servicing every year. Rewired the fuel pump new timing belt n tensioner. I bought a group A coil pack from national day last year for a bargain price of 15quid.
