Default Pictures of my modified Bonus - the RS1300!

Here are a couple of quick pictures of my mk4 Escort Bonus:

Spec is as follows:

Exterior:

90 spec RS Turbo bumper and spoiler
Clear indicators front & side
Oiginal Ford spotlights
Smoked rear lights
Lowered 60mm on RS Turbo alloys
Shortened numberplates

Interior:

Full 88 spec RS Turbo interior (Recaros, dash, carpet etc)
Quickshift

Mechanical:

K&N filter
Full Ashley exhaust with 4" backbox
XR3i brakes

The car was bought from an old woman who was selling it coz the engine was goosed. We got it for £50 and fitted another 1300 crossflow (for the time being). It was mot'd and taxed and very clean, it has never been welded and when we replaced the carpet, the floor was shinier than the outside of most new cars!

There are many future plans, such as a CVH conversion, bad boy bonnet, RST skirts, and 17s for this ongoing project!

Hope yous like it!

Steven

All the Bonus' are comin out the woodwork now ain't they!!! lol

Looks very nice to me m8!

What does the full ashley sound like? i'm interested in gettin an exhaust for mine, but i don't want the massive noise that comes from most- i don't want it to sound like summat it's not

Have you put a 5 speed box in it, cuz u can't get quikshifts for the 4 speed can ya? wots it like wiv the quickie?

Personally, i'd keep it like it is exterior wise, i don't really like bad boy bonnets, but each to their own eh?!
Wouldn't mind puttin a cvh in mine fairly soon, gettin very fed-up wiv the 'performance' of the 1.3

Tis very nice tho m8

Langley mate,

cheers exhaust is loud and deep, its designed for an XR3i but we modified it to suit - worth it though and relatively straightforward.

Just finished my own attempt at a bad boy bonnet - gonna have it sprayed soon.

Five speed got fitted with other engine, goes really well now and quick shift is great for racing about.

The dash is from an XR3i and clocks are from an Eclipse, featuring rev counter. Pretty easy to do and massive improvement. Just a bit of joining wires - give me a shout if you get stuck!

CVH is the way to go, eventually it will be turbo'd with a Zetec bottom end!!

Langley

Just thought i'd let you know cos its my wee bro's car and i helped with a lot. The engine and box came out an Eclipse cos they have the five speed as standard along with the 1300. Only had to change the gear linkage, drive shafts and starter etc are all the same - canna beat the Fords!
