hello all . Just wondering if a 1800 zetec engine from a 03 focus would be ok to use some one told me the later engines had a ally block instead is this true and can i use sump and flywheel many thanks in advance fifty

 

You can use the later block but you will have problams fitting the water pump as the hole on the side of a later zetec for the water pump only has a 40mm hole compared to the old zetec that has a massive hole 90mm i think. NO the block isnt ally . you can use a sump from the older zetecs also. you will need an escort or fiesta sump and oil pipe.

Thanx for your reply nath . if i got to swap sump and pick up pipe may as well get a mk1 zetec from an escort or fez then just got to keep lookin ha ha
