Default Cabby RSTurbo Update 23/01/08

Well after building my self a 7m x 6m garage i though it was about time i started a new project, plus with the XR2Turbo only having 2 seats it not a very child friendly place

Any way, here are the 2 escorts needed
Cabby

RST

The plan is to RWD Cossie the RST in the future, but 1st i need to sort the cabby out to make room.
The idea is to swap every thing from the RST to the Cabby
I started to stripe down the Cabby on Friday 11th and got to this point on Sunday afternoon

The only rust on the car apart from the bottom of the doors

Thats how it looked after the engine bay had a good clean

And the donar car

Spent a few hours on it since sunday, the engine and box are in alswell as the full RST loom and new Deflex engine mounts and a full set of bushes, Just needs plumbing in, and the brake lines sorted as i took the ABS system off.

Just a small up date, Got the car running on Sunday on the XR3i fuel pump, Then realised it had an intank pump plus the original EFi engine is going in my mate 1.3L so he needs the tank and the wiring. Then whilst taking the tank off i noticed that the Cabby did'nt have a rear anti roll bar and the drums where a lot smaller . So every thing from the back end of the RST had to be removed and refitted to the Cabby. At the same time all the rear bushes are being replaced. I'll have more pic's towards the end of the week.

Yer, i know what you mean, but i had a complete RST, plus it would have ment spending money i don't have at the moment on ECU, wiring loom, chip to run T3, EFi to MFI spacer and having to drill the block for the crank/flywheel sensor.
