not starting - fuelling
i rebuilt the engine, replacing the headgasket & now i can't get it to start, no fuel is reaching the injectors. the fuel pump is priming and supplying fuel to the metering head, where its building up pressure and going back to the tank. any ideas, is it due to wiring?
the plug on the metering head....test it see if its giving any voltage. clean it up, makesure its pluged on proper, is ure black fuel ECU still plugged in ok? loosen fuel lines and see if fuel sprays out u can tell where its getting to etc
only a drbble of feul will reach the injectors on turn over of the engine!! the best thing to do is to get some one to turn it over on the key while you gently push down on the large round flap in the metering head(need the air filter off to do this) only push down gently though!!!!! otherwise it will flood!! this will tell you if the fuel is getting up and it may even fire up. also check ALL air pipes as if one of these is not sealing correctly it will not fire(especially the large air pipe on the back of the plenum chamber) i had simalar problems myself so i hope this helps
made a right dumbass mistake, wen i put the belt on had both woodruff keys at 12 oclock
only found out wen compression test was 65. but still can't get it to run, the only things that could have changed now i think is the wiring to the inlet, so if any1 could give me a list of wat goes where to check it or if theres any1 near my area who thinks they can get it 2 run then ill sort u out 4 the help cause im losin my patience with it now. any help much appreciated.
