Default ****OMFG!!!! **** please read.

Did anyone recieve a speeding fine in the post after the Fordsport weekender???

We got one in the post today.....48 in a 30, the date 6th october 06.55am....now being rather tired, and not reading the letter thoroughly we have both assumed it was when we travelled up to the weekender as it's the last time we were on the mainland, and we had arrived at the raceway about 6am and then drove into Stratford to look for signs of life for a coffee!!

Then we started questioning the speed, the people that went will know the stupidly high amount of speed camera's around that area, and having a snooper that was going off every bloody few minutes u tend to be aware of your speed!! Particularly as I gained a ticket after central day!!

Don't I feel bloody daft now reading the letter properly and seeing that the date is the following bloody wednesday!! at 6.55am when I was at work still and trigger was in bed!! NOT ONLY THAT.....it was in Fookin Tunbridge Wells!!!!!!!!!

So.....now what!!! Presumably it means that some fookin lovely gimp has clocked the number plate up there or wherever (it could even have been off our local forum where someone has posted pics) although to be perfectly honest it seems a coincidence that it happened 3 days after the show

Just goes to show....I wonder how many people have just paid speeding fines that weren't even theirs!!

Has anyone else ever had this happen?? And what will the police accept as proof it wasn't us!!

A friend of mine had the same. He had a van in portsmouth and he to got a speeding fine for that van in wales. He contacted dvla and they had records of two vans in the same colour and reg but in different locations!! They said it was an error on there computer system. Might be worth phoning them?

First of all, get the photo evidence.

Then get a few statements from witnesses that you were at such and such

find pictures of the car at an event or place where something is happening showing the unique features of your car (say a previous motorshow) so you can prove that you had the markings on your car long before the picture was taken.

That should get rid of any doubt.
