My Mk1 Mondeo Zetec Turbo
still got a few bits to finish off on the interior but its not far off now.
anyway in a nutshell its a 2.0 blacktop zetec with a T28 turbo, large saab 9000 intercooler, megasquirt, koni shocks/springs, 300mm front brakes, RS kit, fezza RS turbo bonnet vents, bucket seats, and genuine 18 x 8J Dymag alloys used on the works mondeo touring cars in the 1993/94 seasons (which have been converted to 4-stud)

looks very good and bet it goes like stink but i dont believe thats the black top zetec (and no its not because its painted blue).
it looks like the early generation zetec engine also known as zeta and badged as DOHC which yours is badged as unless you've put an old cam cover on?!
is that the original engine that came with the car? knowing this will confirm or disprove my theory.
top job mate, bet its fun to drive

cheers guys!
it is a blacktop, but its got a silvertop cam cover. its been converted to blacktop, you can tell by the fact it doesnt have the god-awful top engine mount next to the cambelt cover. and the downpipe route is as per blacktop going under the sump, and not around it like on a silvertop.
it hasnt been on a dyno, its an estimated 270-280bhp. it goes like a bastard! my other mondeo has been dynoed at 230bhp, and this one is in another league power-wise!

Excellent mate, really nice!
Looks a little like Paul's (?) old one? From MondeoSport?
Really lovely though chap, is it at any shows this year, would like a closer look!
Oh, and can I pick your brain about diesel tuning at some point

yes it was pauls from mondeosport, i've bodykitted it up and got the vented bonnet painted and fitted. i got the wheels, changed the interior, fitted the koni's and uprated clutch.
i will be taking it to quite a few shows this year yes. and there is ALOT more to come on this motor.
yep feel free to pick my brains on diesel tuning.
today i've fitted the zinc coated 40-groove disks from CRN products, i got a good deal off them for the whole package. i put EBC greenstuffs on the back, and still have the mintex extreme pads on the front because they had alot of life left in them. i'll fit braided hoses later when i change the brake fluid.

Very impressive mate, I did wonder if it was Paul's old car, remember a lot of te build up of it from a couple of years back, nice to see it's in good hands!
Do you have the old MSN mate? A chat would be helpful when you've got a minute

Front arch extensions are fairly rare second hand Daz, my mate Dan had trouble getting em for my old Mondeo when he had it. He bought them from Ford, cost about Ł90 I think, they found a set in Germany!
