Default Back to garage for more welding - cries!

Had some 'light' welding carried out last week for MOT
It rained here yesterday and today and found a rather large puddle in the driver side rear footwell (that's a tongue twister you know LOL)

Anyway, I know it's only a tin can but will I ever have it water proof

Still got battery tray and fusebox to do, then I migth just be able to put my underlay and carper back in my car - been out for over a year now

MK3/4 Escorts are rot boxes, I own two of the sheds It's really annoying as apart from the rot problem, they are top cars I am currently driving my mums 1.0 Pug 205 XS 1987 because my S2 failed on rotten sills, and that is totally rot free because Peugeot were good enough to galvenise (dont know how it is spelt, lol) the body shells! When I say rot free, i mean it! It looks like a new car rot wise, shame it is a shed Why couldn't Mr Henry build his cars with proper metal

From here on in i'm only going to own a Ford as a weekend car, garaged, cos they rot like nothing else My mates 97 Modeo is also looking decidely ropey and thats a modern(ish) Ford

Must admit, most 305's look new, especially the rear arches and have you looked under them, fresh looking paint

I live right next to the sea, bloke has one here, had it 2 years and still like new if a little faded in colour (doesn't wash it)

yeah same with my rst, fuck i keep expecting to find ducks in it lol Mine is only for summer/track use now as in the winter it gets that damps windows stream up and the sunroof is a bollocks.

Best advice if the sunroof dont open and it dont leak leave it alone, i thought i would do the right thing and get mine fixed, what a load of shite lol, ended up getting it sealed shut.

They rot EVERYWHERE, but drivers side may indicate the fuse box or below wiper motor. Rot like a corpse under them

If you know it's from the floor then check behind the arch liner or front floor pan. They're bad for going at the seam. Check inner sill as they rot behind the skirt and break through aswell.

It is on the inner seam, just above lowest level so still collects water

Lee, i'd say it was splased up from underneath car and just collects on lowest point (middle of floor pan)
