thinking of upgrading front brakes on my escort 1.6 as they are tiny and crap anybody got any solutions ie rs turbo calipers or rs 2000 ??
which is the way to go any ideas
rs2000 brakes are a straight fit although only 20mm bigger than standard. Focus ST170 front calipers fit if you drill the mounting holes out from 10mm to 12mm. They won't need spacers although I think you will need need new flexi's. I think someone also said any mondeo mk3 caliper with st170 discs works without spacers and are obviously easier and cheaper to come by than ST170 calipers.
cheers people will have to have a word with my mate who works at ford main dealers to find out what is available should nt have a problem with wheel clearance as running escos rims
Would stick a set of cossie cailpers & discs these will be more than enough for your car.
this is the way im going there is a lad i know with a 4x4 saff and he is getting some news brakes
will i need to get new brake pipes maybe best to get the braded items like i got on my saff
