The crank posistion sensor and the oil return fitting are the only differences.

the oil return on the fiesta is threaded to join the oil return pipe of the turbo the escort is just a push fit, however they both just press fit into the block.

i removed the fiesta one in favour of a esrt type. as for the crank posistion sensor. I would imagine you could use a crank trigger on the bottom pulley to get away with using a efi style one.

The crank sensor hole can be drilled into the ERST block easily, the block itself is actually quite soft. I used a rubbing taken from an FRST block to plot the position on my ERST block, then a normal 36mm (I think) holesaw.

Cheers for your replies guys....

No its not fucked Dave, but i had a slight rattle, which i thought was cam,so EVERYTHING top end has been done etc etc, ticks over, and its the quiestist CVH ive ever heard!!!!! But when u feather the throttle, hit 2500rpm,and its back, and its blowin blue out on over run too

I put up a post yday asking how much to do a bottom end,and got some ball park figures for it,but thought i might aswell buy 1 already done..Shame really,as the bottom end aint that bad,and i know if i out the bonnet back ona,dn sat in the car,you wouldnt even heard that rattle, but I know its there now,and im a fussy fucker when it comes to things like that..So id rather sort it now, before it got/gets worse

Been told its more than likley the little ends.. But to do it all,as you know its new pistons etc etc,and a min of £500,and 6days after xmas,im a tad short for a few weeks!!

What would you do then???

As i said befroe,im not after stupid power,im happy with 180ish,as its just a 2nd car,and something to blat about iton a Sunday morning...

My old engine was drilled for a CPS. As christian says, wasnt that hard from what i understand. In fact a mate has had it done too. Just measure it up carefully.
