i've got myself a fiesta mk3 1990, the problem is its only a 1.1 and the engine is very tired. i have a escort van thats failed its mot and what im wondering is whats involved in swappin the diesel engine straight into the fiesta? physically i know it will fit but its the wiring/fueling that im unsure of, look forward to anyones advice

basically you will need an entire fiesta diesel car loom (inc engine bay loom), fuel tank, lines and management (not sure what the diesel uses)

is the van a normal diesel or a turbo diesel as the wiring will be very different into the fiesta if its turbo, easier to sell the fiesta and get a decent diesel one or just put another 1.1 engine in it!

 

ok well also know of a 1.8cvh engine from a sierra, will this fit?
