been offered one of my mates for cheap its a G reg

its been repianted in a deep purple still looks good but got couple of dents but nice!!!!
engine is sweeeet no rattles, nocks or smoke, its got a uprated GT28 turbo and full samcos with brand new water pump

2 cobra bucket seats and full racing 4 points harness, lock wood dials, the back has been fully borded up and proffesionally covered with blue plastic leather stuff looks good!!!!!! door cards are the same!!! has doors that open with a button in the door card looks great and a good mod

Has got body kit front and rear bumpers (front bumper needs work) has a bigger boot spoiler and delocked!!!!!

IT has had thouasands of pounds spent on it and has got some neat mods!!!! as i said i have been offered it for about £1200
how much is it worth , iam not really into these cars and i wouldnt be able to afford the insurance but if i can sell it for £2000+ then it would be worth it!!!! thanks for any help!

sounds like its worth a bit more thna the asking price, but pics would help, these cars rust quyite badly underneath so check for that!

I was VERY shocked when i went blind in to "5`s",to how cheep they are to mod,and theres a good breaking market for them too...

Mine was MINT when i sold mine,and got VERY good money for it....

Id go for it,its worth it,to just break it...

Similar to the series 2 RS turbo really price can vary loads depending on age, spec, bodywork, etc. Most tend to go between £1k to 2k in my experience of them although (from having a read on the renault turbo owners club) people seem to be paying more for standard bodywork rather than ones with the lairy bodykits

 

Well this was mine.... And i sold it for ALOT more than 2k....






Only car ive had,that i dont miss.... nothing wrong with it AT ALL<just never formed a bond with it....Shame really,as there really good cars if you look after them...

yer! well i dnt like the kit!!!! but its acctually quite nice, there no serious rust issues i reckon its worth about 1800 but dont want to pay the money and loose out, but i dont really want to break it as it is soo much hassel! thanks for your help lads

my mate bought one of these completly stanard one owner from new for 50 quid, needed a bit of work doing to it, he took the head off, got bored and scrapped it, i wish i knew it was being scrapped i love these cars, that red one looks so nice

 

Oh yeah you can deffo get more than £2k but most dont unless like yours they've been done properly and well looked after Just a shame that so many ended up with the people who dont look after them and chucked the stupid jap style kits on them or some of the really badly fitted bonded on wide arch kits

i like 5 turbo's, i just hate the interior. come close to buying a few this year but sitting inside it just doesnt feel very good to me. saying that ive had 4 nova's! lol

 

Totally agree with that - the s2 i bought back in November was a bit of a shed - rust, dents, worn engine parts, etc not really been looked after but i bit the bullet and working on saving it at the mo and returning it to how it should have been Shame the previous owner couldnt have done that

 

The 5 Turbo is one of only 3 French cars I'd own. Never owned one, but loved driving others

 

One of my mates bought it off Pete. It's currently sat in a workshop having a cage welded in, it has no interior, carbon seats/panels etc. Side exit exhaust has been routed through the sill. Custom front mount intercooler and radiator being made up for it should be rather nice when he gets it back.

great cars in their day, but remember its a 20 yrs old french hatchback, dont age well;


£900 for a crappy one with mot
£2000 for a fsh genuine one but typical for age
£lots for a perfect collectors item

so £1200 is fine....

 

i have a phase 1 which i have owned for a long time and its a beast lol
like said by someone else best fun in a fwd car by a long way
go well ,...but not suprising as panels are as thin as paper
look at them the wrong way and they dint
badly abused ones will have the tell tale signs (creases in roof by the trailing edge of door) from chassis flex

Well i bought it!!!!!!! and now just going to do a bit of buftying and stick it on flee bay and auto trader for 1600 starting bid!!! or 1850 buy it now!!!! when i get it will take some pics and post them up see what you lot think!!!! or u will see it on ebay in next couple of weeks you cant miss it its purple!!!! any one want it!!! (this is not a for sale thread)!
