we received a summons thru the post this morning for not having a tv licence for 2 weeks when we 1st moved in the new house

what the fuck is this CUNTry coming to
it even shows a licence had been aplied for within a week of moving in on the summons . and theres nothing we can do to avoid a fine + court costs (minimum £45)

the piss take is i NEVER watch bbc cos its shit and thats all your licence is paying for

 

They read us our rights once at the doorstep.. even though we had a TV license they decided we needed 4 as I was living with some mates

was going to rip the shit out of em on the phone but i had a little old lady on the end of the phone that sounded like my nan, i just couldnt be rude to her and she said the whole thing was "downright daft" bless her

I agree totally its a crock of sh*t....should only pay for bbc if you want it..... F*ck the unique way the BBC is funded by us....but it does pay for all the masts!

spoken to my solicitor , and unfortunatly theres nothing i can do
basicly they are correct in saying we didnt have a licence for 2 weeks so they can impose a fine if they wish (and they do) so even if i decided to argue with the help of my solicitor i will still end up having to pay whatever fine they see fit plus the £45 costs . these coonts have me by the short n curly's

 

Tell them you havent moved in yet and why should you pay for something you haven't got

unfortunatly they were in the area @ the time and the missus was sitting infront of it when he walked up the path
