pops i was abit worried about it heard loads of horror stories of stuff not working and didnt want it to mess up stuff like my VPN, Bittorrent etc but oneday i thought sod it and installed and it was fine dunno what the fuss was about The popup blocker in IE is excellent a few bits have changed like the Wireless network management etc but so far no probs for me

Downloaded and installed, only one point of warning, some software does not recognise sp2, so be prepared to update your other software.

It's got some pretty good features.. as stated...mostly security... but it does cause conflicts with some programs (my mpg2dvd converting/authoring s/w for one).. but in most cases.. exluding the program from DEP or turning DEP off altogether gets round it

ditto DaveH - i went to a seminar byu microsfot about this and they admit themselves they expect it to break 1 in 10 applications... including some of their own.

Totally fooked my laptop but has been fine on my desktops at home and work.

installed on latop seamed fine, works computer locked up though wouldnt even boot xp had to reinstall

i installed it as when ever i looging in the net the pc would close down screen in 1 min ( you know the box that show it)

i downloaded it and it got rid of it so im more than happy

I have downloaded it but it seems to have messed up my windows media player it doesn't want to stream things I get about two secounds of video and the rest is blank

Can I turn something off so it will work ok ?

Installed it at work and had no problems... now installing here..

The shutdown in 1 min screen just needs a microsoft patch to fix it..
