Tried Burton's? They have helped many people in the past with ZT engines or have tried to

Use a small oil filter from a renault clio i think it is, gives loads more room as the filter is about 1.5 inches long

Bri.

As Bri says, you can use a Renault 5 or Clio filter on a 2.0 pump, they are tiny.

Mondeo 1.8 are all the same as 2.0 iam 99% sure.

Just go to Ford, try asking for 1.8 Escort in case they tried adding RS tax

No as i was saying the mondeo pumps are all the same 1.8 or 2.0.

Escort 1.8 and Fiesta are the same and are angled down for clearance.

However you can use a 2.0 pump with a Renault oil filter.

mate i had this trouble trying to find anew one but to be honest i bought a second hand 1.8 escort one that had done over 100k miles and stripped it to find it was mint condition inside so you'll probably be ok to use secong hand one, just strip it first to make sure
