I'm going to look at a Zetec S tomorrow.

Can anyone help me out with buying advice? Like, common faults and problems. What to look for etc.

rust on the sills mate,wot year is it?mine had a fault with oil sensors,heard quite a few people with early ones have had that problem

 

Its a 2000 on an X plate. FSH, all the usual zetec stuff.

Does look clean on the pics.

Anything else I shoudl check for on start up or running?

 

makes sure the heaters go both hot and cold,not sure what its called that goes wrong with them,but wot ever it is can get jammed then the blowers will either blow out either hot or cold only

but there wicked cars mate,loads of fun to drive,great handling

 

Heater control valve ~£35 from Ford (bit less if you can have a mate in parts who can get trade discount ) its a piss easy job to do DIY as well, common fault with all MK4 Fiestas/Kas...

Both Fiestas ive had and the other halfs Ka have had the same problem
