water thirsty transit
Good evening all ive just recently got a ford transit 2.5non turbo, when i got it all fine till 2weeks later.on my way to work with my dad who i was still trying to convince it was beter than the escort van we just sold, the temp gauge shot up so pulled over header tank empty limpd to the petrol station filled with water got to work fine got home fine then noticed driping out the cambelt cover yep you guesd it water. So got a new water pump new cambelt new tensenoir, i fitted it all sunday no probs sorted.
Anway 2 weeks later being today picked my lad up from dads house put the heater on because he was cold and you guesd it cold air, temp gauge fine so got home checked header tank empty, filled it up it seems to be holding it no leeks under the van bin round the block seems ok heaters still worm. van still driveing fine no smoke at all hot or cold any ideas as to why the suden water loss, im thinking air lock any advances on that. if im slow in replying it because im painting a bonnet an sum wings for a mate, thanks for any halp or ideas.dave
