After fitting new fuel filter and trying to fit group A pump which did not fit due to wrong size connection on output side. I put old pump back on, fired it up but had a leak on filter join so turned it off But now it wont start, What the hell has happened now? any help will be great. Thanks

 

There will be lots of air in the system, so may take a bit to run that through. But is the fuel pump priming on ignition and can you hear it run when you are turning the car over??

 

Make sure you have the wires on the right way round as if they arnt it will still make a noise so it will trick you into thinking the fuel is being pumped but infact ins in reverse! I did that once!

 

Yeah pump is priming and can hear it when turning over. It took a while to fire up 1st time because of the air, but had to turn it off to stop a leak.
Just cannot understand why it wont start now, but i will try it again later in case it flooded or still air in system. Maybe pump is not giving enough pressure as that was why i was going to change it. wires are on the right way too. Thanks fella s.

 

Is the pump pumping the right way as if the wires are the wrong way round it will pump the opposite way chap.

Hey its sorted now just lots of air in system, started after a longer than normal time. Just av to fit new pump now as press low. Thanks for help.
