For some sttange reason 4x4's are very expencive to insure!

Ive never had any problems insuring other cars with Boncaster tbh.

I think you would find the same with any insurance company! lol

insure the cossie on a lay up policy with boncaster and insure the rover with churchill or someone like that, job done

I've been with Boncaster since day one, never had any grief and they have always been the cheapest

I have been with them for years on my 3 door but have had a few issues with them this year and will be looking elswhere when renewal is due. I was told that they had been bought out so presume this has caused them to lose the enthusiasm for helping RS owners, although if the 3 door is on a classic policy no insurer is going to add the rover on for over the winter as it don't meet the requirements for a classic policy.

A lay up policy means the vehicle is insured for fire, theft and damage whilst kept in a locked garage, (can only be done if you have a lock up garage)

This is what I do with my car during the winter months, I pay £130:00 for 12 months of lay up cover and then get the car out late spring when the weather improves
