is it possible to use original management on a n/a car thats been turboed with breakerless ignition. i know old school distributors could be retarded manually but is there any way on a fixed breakerless system ?

so if i get an adjustable rising rate fpr and some 635 injectors that should sort fueling then
anyone know an easy way to retard ignition on breakerless ignition ? from what ive read need retarded ignition for when on boost

Some dizzy's have a diaphram in them to allow retard on boost.
I dont know off had on that will direct fit an E30
Failing that, you can get a delay box to retard it for you, it just takes the pulse and waits a while before passing it on essentially.

As chip, dont know if still available but years ago turbo technics had a diaphragm type vacuum two way advance unit that advanced under vacuum and retarded the ignition when on boost, when i did a escort cvh in 93, for some reason had to use a bosch type dizzy and the advance linkcage rod had to be cut to give the required amount of ignition retard. i think the old audi's and saab had this advance unit. i was on the limit of det @ 12psi.

The dissy boost retard capsule is off early turbo Saab's. i convert them to fit other dissy's, abit like TT used to.
But you can run a Micro Dynamic's EMs 5 or 6, to retard once boosting, and the 5 is adjustable to how much retard, @ what rpm, and also allows for the timing to be re advances after the det threshold has passed.

cheers mate checked them out have to be run with msd management. they do a stand alone controler but its for points systems only
il keep searching the net though i know what im looking for now
Here's the one i have on my TT now. fitted with late xr2 dissy setup, and grpA coil.
