P0460 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Malfunction
Hey all,
EML light came on last night and just found this code on my car along with another one but I believe that one to be because of the de-cat. I found this via the bluefin I have. Should I be worried about this and what does this normally mean the problem is?
The car drives fine in every way and I cleared the code with the bluefin and the code has not come back yet. Ford Focus MP3 1.8 Zetec

quite common for the fuel level sender to piss about on the focus, you may see the gauge go up and down of its own accord, mine used to do it a lot!!
Never heard of it making the management light come on tho!

there was another code which was O2 sensor slow response P0133 but I have a decat exahust system which is where that probably came from. But EML light came on (I shat myself when it did
) drove home safely, bluefinned it this morning and all is well (so far)

what O2 sensor was it sensor 1 or sensor 2 ?
if its sensor 2 ( post cat ) then you are correct, its because the cats been removed, although there are kits to trick the ECU to give a false signal back to the ECU so it assumes the CAT is working fine.
if its sensor 1 then there maybe a problem.
as for the fuel gauge code, the engine ECU will use the fuel level sensor as part of the misfire detection processes, if its not a present code and the gauge works fine, clear it and see if it returns. this will have no effect on the way the car drives as its purely for a diagnostic aid for the ECU.
