alright folks. bought ths series 2 about 2 months ago for a project to try and keep me out the pub. i paid £1200 for it which i thought wasnt too bad. started stripping it today and heres how i got on

the guy i got it from was orginally wanting £2000. ive seen series 2s for more money and in worse condition so thats why i think it was an alright deal

I started with it but I had to replace almost every thing
the only thing that dident need replacing was the roof
so I scraped it

But I'am gone buy one again

time for an update. havent really been busy with it i dont want to do too much at once cos ill end up gettin sick of it and i dont want that to happen

this is the drivers front window that was hidden by the dash its in a bit of a mess but nothin a few plates and the new welder cant handle


the battery tray on the inside is quite a mess but some one has replaced it before but made a right cunt of it and put some silicone in it half assed job.

ive already got all the panels for the car ie 2 front wings, slam panel, cross member, inner and outer sills off side and near side, back panel and all 4 floor pans i also got a second hand boot and bonnet. its all there to do it but as i said dont want to do too much at once. ive also decided to go for a track prepared road car with a full welded in roll cage not sure wether to do the 2.1 zvh or just the 2.0 zvh

keep goin mate its not that bad just get in the garage with a nice heater get stuck in and run the mig on pub gas co2 cylinder .

good stuff mate, keep it up... know wot ya sayin about the battery tray, had to rip out a right shoddy "repair", been tacked on them seam sealed!!!
can get em lookin nice again tho...





right color as well, red ones are fastest...!!

im not sure if he knows what hes got himself in for all he kept sayin inite was nae mare fuckin rust haha. gettin there tho when i get back from offshore hope fully start cuttin more stuff out and gettin some stuff welded in cheers smits

A lot of work there mate but trust me. me and my mate did s1 a lot weres than yours and it was so nice to see it drive up the road when it was done . O can you sort out the way your photos go on the page .thanks mate all the best with it

wee update been at the car for 3 days got a small amount done. the back panel is on and has been primed where there was bare metal and it looks good. also got the floor pans tacked into place and the inner sills on only got a couple of photos but ill get more the next time im up

dont know when wel be back to it but when we are hopefully get the floor finished off then start on the corner of the window corners.

I had my Puma all re-sprayed and it looks a million dollars,we got it done at Elder and Paton Perth,what a great job they carried out on the car.

keep the faith,mine was like yours,stripped it,then took it round a few places where everybody promised to weld it,bougt loads and loads of bits for it,couldnt get it welded so i sold all the bits,actually a guy with no license up your way bought some bits off me for his escort cab,got a cossie now,same story,should get it back this week from having a 3k respray!woohoo.

aye im a bit skint buying that nova, im away to reshell it over xmas so that'll give me a decent car for everyday driving for 2008

i'll get going again with the s1 as soon as xmas is over with, just need to get it rolling then painted, ive been in 2 minds whether to carry on with it lately tho cos of the price of it all & i fancy an escort cossie 1 day soon aswell, so we'll see what happens
