Default F.A.O tyre ppl advice needed

I have a MK2RS2000 i have just fitted 13X 7 ronal RS7 spokes with 195/55/13 uniroyal & its scrubbing real bad at the rear i will have to trim the arches a bit but is there such a thing as a 185 X 13 low profile tyre i can buy for the car? like 185 x 50 X 13

why dont you try 175/50 13 tyres,i had them on a set of wolfrace slotmags that were 7inch wide and they never scrubbed atall,i did grind the arches a bit but that was because i had 205s on there before,i think 175s will miss completly

the 175/50s i had were bridgestones but yokohama make them aswell, the yokohamas were a008s i think,my old mk2 had single leaf springs on the back so were slightly lower than standard then i had 3 inch lowering blocks aswell and was still plenty of space

Will the 175 tyres be ok on 7" rims if so i will get them i really dont want to chop the arches as the paint on the car is perfect...
Dave its lowerd 2" at the back i think the new wheel arches at the back should have been trimmed too late now its buffing bad & making it a pain in the ass to drive

well i had mine on 7 inch rims, were ok just looked a bit wierd cause thay looked a bit stretched but not overly stretched if you see what i mean, maybe try getting hold of a wheel with that size tyre on and see what happens but i cant see it being a problem personally

had it a few years ago now,i bought it as a shell with just bonnet, boot doors and windows and also had a rear axle on it aswell,i replaced the rear arches then did all the body work aswell,it had a full cage and strut brace,in those pics it had 88spec erst front seats but when i sold it it had a set of bucket seats in it,it had a 1600sport rear axle cause of the 3.54 diff and the 9inch drums,it also had capri 2.8injection front suspension with the vented discs and i also made up some brackets and fitted nissan 300zx 4pot calipers, the engine was 2.1 with twin 40 solex carbs i think,i did have it on twin weber downdraught carbs at 1 point but there was a problem with them and i didnt have the money to get them refurbed,i also had to modify the transmission tunnel to put in the capri 3-rail box aswell, was a fun car i sold it to buy my erst, would love another 1 1 day maybe cossie powered
